Waseela-e-Taleem is an education program launched for poor children in Pakistan to encourage and support their education.For the first time in Pakistan’s history, the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) introduced this initiative, allowing students from low-income families to get financial assistance for their education.
Registration Process:
Previously, the process required filling out a form and submitting it to the school for verification before forwarding it to the Benazir Income Support Program office.This procedure posed difficulties for many, preventing them from accessing the education scholarships.To address this, an online registration system and a mobile application have now been introduced to simplify the process, making it easier for parents to apply for scholarships for their children from home.
The Ehsaas Education Scholarship Program is another major initiative by the Government of Pakistan to provide education to underprivileged children.It is specifically aimed at helping poor families and enabling their children to receive an education.
Women enrolled in the Ehsaas Kafalat program can also register their children for education scholarships through the Waseela-e-Taleem initiative.This allows them to receive both educational stipends and the financial support under the Ehsaas program.Registration can be done by visiting any nearby Tehsil Office.Once registered, children will receive both the education scholarship and Ehsaas program funds.
Waseela-e-Taleem App:
This program will benefit 1.5 million children, particularly those from rural areas, and aims to ensure that children from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, who often start working instead of going to school, can receive an education. The Ehsaas Waseela-e-Taleem app supports low-income children, helping them cover their educational expenses like books and stationary.
With Pakistan’s high poverty rate, many children are unable to attend school, and this initiative is designed to remove some of the financial barriers to education.The app has been launched to make it easier for parents to apply for educational resources and scholarships without having to leave their homes.
After submitting your application, you will receive a confirmation message after a few days stating that your child has been registered for educational resources.To continue receiving stipends, it is necessary to maintain at least 70% attendance in school.
