The Chief Minister of Sindh recently launched the Sindh Solar Panel Program, under which 20,000 solar panels will be distributed across the province, with 50,000 specifically in Karachi. These panels will be provided at a cost of PKR 7,000 and are particularly aimed at people in remote areas where electricity supply is difficult.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Solar Panel Scheme
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has announced the distribution of 100,000 free solar panels throughout the province. Under this scheme, priority will be given to the poor and those living in underprivileged areas.
Balochistan Solar Panel Scheme
The government of Balochistan has announced the distribution of 50,000 solar panels. Applicants will need to pay 25% of the total cost of the solar panels, while the remaining 75% will be covered by the government of Balochistan.
Eligibility Criteria:
The applicant must be a Pakistani citizen.
Applicants must possess a Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC).
The property where the solar panel is to be installed must either be owned by the applicant or the applicant must have the owner’s permission.
