Chief Minister Punjab, Maryam Nawaz, has announced the Honhaar Scholarship Program, allocating PKR 130 billion to support deserving students. Here are the details:
Applications Received: Over 68,000 students have applied.
Institutions Involved: Students from 65 universities, 359 colleges, and 12 medical colleges have submitted their applications.
Annual Beneficiaries: The program aims to grant scholarships to 30,000 students each year.
Eligibility Criteria:
Scholarships will be awarded to deserving undergraduate students enrolled in programs lasting 4 to 5 years.
Support Offered: The scheme covers full tuition fees for students under 22 years old and belonging to families earning less than PKR 300,000 annually.

Benazir Taleemi Wazifa Update:
The Benazir Taleemi Wazifa Program has also brought good news for families awaiting children’s stipends:
Past Delays:
Previous installments for July to September and October to December were delayed.
Only single payments from the Kafalat Program were released.
Verification Completion:
80% of attendance verification for children has been completed.
Once 100% data is verified, double payments for the pending installments will be issued.
Expected Payment Dates:
The double installment is anticipated to be released by mid-December.
These payments will be disbursed separately from Kafalat installments.
