Good News: Punjab Government’s Rozgar Scheme for 11,000 Needy Families

Rozgar Scheme:

The Punjab Government has launched an employment scheme worth 2 billion rupees to support 11,000 needy families. Through this scheme, the government will provide a cow or buffalo worth 150,000 to 200,000 PKR completely free of cost. If you want to apply, the deadline is November 16, 2024. Applications can be submitted online or physically.

Objectives of the Program:

  • To provide a reliable source of income for rural women in need.
  • To improve livestock quality and ensure healthy animal breeding.
  • To increase milk production through quality animals.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Rural women, divorced or widowed, up to 55 years of age, are eligible to apply.
  • Applicants must be verified by the Punjab Social Protection Authority as divorced or widowed.
  • Poverty score (PMT) should be up to 32%.
  • Applicants should not have received livestock through other schemes in the past five years.
  • If you meet these four conditions, you can apply before November 16, 2024.

Districts Covered by the Scheme:

The scheme is available in 12 districts:

Dera Ghazi Khan, Muzaffargarh, Bahawalnagar, Rahim Yar Khan, Rajanpur, Layyah, Kot Addu, Bahawalpur, Multan, Khanewal, Vehari, and Lodhran.

Application Process:

Online Application:

Download the official application, install it, create an account using your National ID card number, set a password, and fill in the required details. Once your account is created, you can fill out and submit the application form.

Physical Application:

Visit your nearest veterinary dispensary and go to the Chief Minister’s Facilitation Desk. Fill out and submit the form there. These desks are set up across veterinary dispensaries in each district of Punjab.
