The Punjab Government has officially started the registration process for the Livestock Card Scheme, through which farmers can receive interest-free loans of up to 270,000 PKR. This loan must be repaid in equal monthly installments within four months. Around 80,000 farmers across Punjab are expected to benefit from this card. Purpose of the Livestock Card Scheme:
The scheme aims to boost meat production and exports while promoting the prosperity of livestock farmers. This card will facilitate the purchase of essential livestock supplies and provide farmers with easy access to loans.
Eligibility Criteria:
To qualify for the Livestock Card, applicants must meet the following five conditions:
Residency: Must be a resident of Punjab.
National ID: Must have a valid National Identity Card (CNIC).
Mobile Phone and Active SIM: Must have a mobile phone with an active SIM registered to the applicant’s CNIC.
Livestock Ownership: Must own at least 10 male calves or young cows/buffaloes.
Clean Credit Record: Should have a clean record with the Credit Information Bureau (CIB).
If you meet these criteria, you are eligible to apply for the scheme.

Access to Supplies: With the CM Livestock Card, farmers can buy Wanda (feed), mineral mixtures, and silage from registered dealers.
Interest-Free Loan: Farmers can receive up to 27,000 PKR per animal without any interest.
Program Funding: The Punjab Government is funding this program with 11 billion PKR.
Widespread Impact: 80,000 livestock farmers across Punjab will benefit from this scheme.
Flexible Repayment: Farmers have four months to repay the loan in equal installments.

How to Apply for the Livestock Card Scheme:
Farmers can apply for this scheme through two methods:
Visit a Veterinary Hospital: Farmers can go to their nearest veterinary hospital to register for the Livestock Card.
Register via SMS: Farmers can also register by sending their CNIC number to 8070.
