CM Punjab E-Taxi Scheme Of Pakistan:
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has decided to launch an electric transportation program inspired by China’s e-taxi program in Pakistan, particularly in Punjab.
The scheme was announced by Transport Minister Babar Akbar on Thursday 30th December 2024 at a seminar organized at Transport House where various stakeholders from various government departments, electric vehicle manufacturers and transporters participated to present their views on the e-taxi scheme.

Details of E-Taxi Scheme:
Bilal Akbar held open discussions regarding the e-taxi program during his seminar so that the participants shared all the suggestions and ideas regarding the scheme.

Many participants shared their proposals for charging stations, battery standards, and supplying spare parts for e-taxi. Bilal Akbar informed during the meeting that “we are moving very fast towards modern eco-friendly transportation”.
