Breaking News Punjab Dhee Rani Program Registration Begins – Receive 100,000 as Salami and Dowry

Punjab Dhee Rani Program

Chief Minister Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, has launched the Punjab Dhee Rani Program to support the marriages of underprivileged girls. Under this program, a cash gift of 100,000 PKR as “Salami” (wedding gift) and a dowry package worth 206,000 PKR will be provided. This initiative aims to assist the weddings of 3,000 girls from impoverished families in Punjab. The dowry will include a Quran, prayer mat, a wooden double bed with mattress, glassware, dinner set, and more. The bride will receive 100,000 PKR via an ATM card.

Registration for the Dhee Rani Program has started, and an online portal has been launched for registration. Parents who want to register their daughters to avail 100,000 PKR as Salami and dowry gifts should register as soon as possible. Registration will be online, ensuring no hassle or embarrassment. Additionally, a complaint portal and a helpline have been set up for further assistance. You can submit applications through the online portal or at the office of the Deputy Director of Social Welfare in your district from October 21 to November 5.

Chief Minister Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, has also officially approved the mass wedding program under the Punjab Dhee Rani initiative. The objective of this program is to help deserving parents fulfill their social and religious obligations with dignity and respect. She added that, in the first phase, mass weddings for 3,000 girls will be held, but the program will not end here. It will be expanded so that all underprivileged people in Punjab can marry off their children, thus reducing financial burdens.

In Islam, marriage is a sacred contract that forms the foundation of a prosperous and stable family life and is the only solution to avoid social evils. Due to the current economic conditions and financial hardships in the country, many parents are unable to afford their children’s weddings. The mass wedding program will provide hope and stability, leaving a positive impact on society.
