Livestock Card Registration:
The Punjab Government has officially launched the Livestock Card Registration Scheme. Under this initiative, the government is providing interest-free loans worth PKR 11 billion. Through this Livestock Card, eligible applicants can avail loans up to PKR 270,000. Here’s a step-by-step guide on the eligibility criteria and registration process.
Eligibility Criteria:
To qualify for the Livestock Card and avail of the loan, applicants must meet the following requirements:
Punjab Residency: Applicants must be residents of Punjab.
Valid CNIC:A Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) is required.
Registered SIM Card: The applicant’s CNIC must be linked to an active mobile SIM card.
Livestock Ownership: Applicants must own 5 to 10 male animals.
No Outstanding Debts: Applicants must not owe any amount to financial institutions.
NADRA and Nikita Verification: Applicants must be verified by NADRA and Nikita.
Livestock Inspection: An Urban Unit team will inspect the livestock and verify ownership.
The selection process will operate on a first-come, first-served basis, so if you meet all the above criteria, you may apply.

Benefits of the Livestock Card:
The Livestock Card offers several benefits to registered livestock owners:
Product Purchases: Cardholders can purchase mineral mixtures and silage from registered dealers in their tehsil.
Loan Limits: Loans range from PKR 135,000 to PKR 270,000 per livestock owner.
Loan Term: The loan must be repaid within four months. Borrowers can take a loan of up to PKR 27,000 per animal.
An estimated 40,000 to 80,000 livestock owners will benefit from this scheme, with around 80,000 cards being issued.
Registration Process:
Visit a Veterinary Hospital:
To register, visit the nearest veterinary hospital.
SMS Registration:
From your mobile, open the messaging section.
Type “PLC”, add a space, then enter your CNIC number.
Send the SMS to 8070.
After sending the SMS, you will receive a confirmation reply acknowledging receipt of your application.
