Himat Card Program
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has officially launched the “Himat Card“ initiative. In her presence, an agreement was signed between the Bank of Punjab and the Social Welfare Department to provide special benefits to disabled individuals. Under this agreement, a quarterly stipend of PKR 10,500 will be granted to eligible persons with disabilities, bringing great news for them. In the first phase, 40,000 individuals will receive the Himat Card, followed by 25,000 in the second phase. The card will aid beneficiaries with financial support, and a 30% quota is allocated specifically for women.
Key Features of the Himat Card:
Quarterly Stipend: PKR 10,500 for eligible disabled individuals.
Women’s Quota: 30% quota reserved for women.
Implementation Date: Stipends under the Himat Card program started in September 2024.
Helpline: A dedicated helpline at 1312 is available for inquiries regarding the Himat Card.
Bank of Punjab’s Role
The Bank of Punjab has pledged to distribute Himat Cards to 65,000 special individuals, ensuring timely financial assistance.
Registration Requirements for the Himat Card
Registration with Social Welfare Department: Disabled individuals must be registered with the Social Welfare Department and possess an official disability certificate to apply.
Medical Examination: Visit a government hospital (like the DHQ hospital in your district) for a medical checkup to confirm your eligibility.
BISP and Social Welfare Department Visit: After the medical checkup, register with BISP and the Social Welfare Department.
Applications can be made online through the Social Welfare Department portal or in person at your district welfare office. For complaints or additional details, call the Himat Card helpline at 1312.

Requirement of Punjab Social Economic Registry (PSER) Survey
To participate in welfare schemes, disabled individuals must complete the PSER (Punjab Social Economic Registry) survey. This survey, which helps evaluate economic conditions, has over 5,000 registration centers across Punjab. Applicants may register through the PSER website, pscr.punjab.gov.pk, or visit a registration center in person.
