Ehsaas Kafalat Program:
The installment for the Ehsaas Kafalat Program from October to December has officially started. This installment is being distributed in four phases. The first phase has already begun some time ago, and now the second phase has started as well, ending the wait for many. In the first phase, 19 districts from across the country were included, and now the second phase includes several districts from various provinces.
Educational Stipends for Children:
The educational stipends for children will be provided in January 2025 as a double installment. The new installment amount will be PKR 13,500, and along with this, the educational stipends for children will also be doubled—both the previous and current stipends will be provided in a double installment.
Checking Eligibility for Kafalat Program:
The process for checking eligibility for the Kafalat Program, including the dynamic registration and issues related to the 8171 platform, has been updated. Many cities now have the 8171 portal restored. You can check your eligibility by visiting the 8171 portal. If the 8171 portal for your city is working correctly, this is good news. In some cities, the 8171 portal may still not be functioning properly, but it will be fixed soon.
You can now easily check your eligibility by visiting the 8171 portal at home. Simply enter your CNIC number, complete the CAPTCHA, and check your status. All beneficiaries, including new applicants, can check their status easily. The process is simple: open the 8171 portal, enter your CNIC number, complete the CAPTCHA, and you will receive the details of your eligibility, including any educational stipends if applicable. If educational stipends are due, they will be shown alongside the current installment amount on the portal.
Dynamic Survey for BISP Beneficiaries:
If you have been receiving benefits from the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) for three years or more and have not completed the dynamic survey, you should do so before December 31. It is recommended to do it as soon as possible. If you are eligible, you will remain eligible for the next three years and continue to receive support. However, if you don’t complete the dynamic survey, you won’t be able to appeal if you are declared ineligible. Completing the survey ensures you have the right to appeal in case of any errors.
Himat Card Registration Start:
Many questions have been raised regarding the Himt Card scheme and when the second phase will begin. At present, there is no specific information about the second phase. However, many new individuals can still be included in the first phase, and registration is ongoing. Disabled individuals should immediately obtain a certificate from the Social Welfare office. If they are declared “Not Fit for Work” after a medical board assessment, they will be prioritized for inclusion in the scheme and will receive PKR 15,000 on a monthly basis.
Additional Registration Information:
If someone missed the initial registration or is facing any issue, they can send a request to the Chief Minister of Punjab’s Secretariat or the Social Welfare Office. The request should mention that they want to be included in the Himat Card scheme. It is expected that soon after, they will receive a call, be invited, and if eligible, will be registered and issued the Humt card, which will provide them with various forms of assistance.
