Billion Livestock Card Programme:
Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has launched the Livestock Card initiative to provide essential support to livestock farmers in Punjab. With a budget of 11 billion rupees, the Punjab government will offer zero-interest loans of up to Rs 270,000, benefiting around 80,000 livestock farmers.
Livestock Card Release Date and Important Details:
The program will be operational by December 15, 2024, and will allow farmers to access discounted feed options such as wanda, mineral mixtures, and silage through government-approved dealers. Provincial Minister Syed Ashiq Hussain Kirmani stated that the initiative aims to distribute essential commodities to dairy farmers in Punjab.
- Livestock Card Registration Process Through PLC 8070
- Farmers can register for the Livestock Card by using a simple SMS method:
- Type PCL your 13-digit CNIC number.
- Send this message to 8070.
After registration, farmers can collect their cards from the nearest Bank of Punjab (BOP) branch to avail loan funds starting December 15.
Eligibility Requirements:
To qualify for the Livestock Card scheme, farmers must meet the following criteria:
- Be a livestock farmer, either male or female.
- Own at least five heifers and be under 60 years of age.
- Have a clean record in the livestock data set Division (9211).
The loan terms are as follows: farmers have a five-month repayment period, where the loan can be availed over four months, and the final month is for repayment.

CM Dairy Stock Card Loan and Payment Details:
Under this program, farmers will receive interest-free loans for up to four months, with a total repayment period of five months. Farmers with five to ten heifers can apply for loans ranging from Rs 135,000 to Rs 270,000, depending on the number of animals they have.
Free Services Included:
The Livestock Department will also provide free services, such as animal tagging, insemination, and vaccination, to improve livestock health and monitoring.
