Error 938 Issue Update
Many people are facing error 938 while checking their payment status on the 8171 portal, despite receiving messages confirming their payment. This error typically resolves automatically toward the end of the payment phase. If your error persists, visit the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) office. However, if you received a payment in the previous installment, you need not worry; the government and BISP will address the error, and your payment will be released soon.
Important Update for Those Awaiting Verification
For those whose verification was delayed or who have been under verification for years, there is a significant update. If you completed your survey in 2024, you may have to wait for eligibility confirmation. However, if it has been over a year since your survey, you’re likely eligible, and your payment has been released. You can collect it from a nearby camp. In the future, both payments and surveys will be conducted at the union council level, making it easier for beneficiaries.
Update on the 8171 Portal Registration Issue
Many users have reported issues with checking their payment status on the 8171 portal, as it only shows that they’re registered in the Dynamic Registry. Currently, there is no specific timeline for when the Rs. 10,500 eligibility will be displayed, but the government has facilitated the process for those under verification. Those marked as ineligible can attempt to update their roster details and possibly gain eligibility. Additionally, beneficiaries can redo their survey if their previous one has expired, as there is no restriction from the government on re-surveys.
