Urgent CNICs and Payment Status
There is a concern among those who recently obtained urgent CNICs (Computerized National Identity Cards) about whether their payments will be blocked. The advice given is to avoid applying for urgent CNICs unless necessary, as the normal CNIC processing is preferable for individuals registered with the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP). If you or your spouse obtains an urgent CNIC, there is a possibility of your payments being blocked. Therefore, it’s recommended to use the standard CNIC process offered by NADRA.
