Good news! The federal government has announced substantial relief of up to Rs. 26 per unit on increased electricity usage during the winter season. This initiative aims to assist consumers in meeting their growing electricity needs in winter. According to the Power Division, this relief will be provided based on increased electricity usage compared to the previous year. A flat rate of Rs. 26.07 per unit will be introduced for additional electricity, providing substantial financial benefits to the public. This power package will be in effect for three winter months, from December 2024 to February 2025, and will be applicable to residential, commercial, and industrial consumers. Domestic consumers will receive relief from Rs. 11.42 to Rs. 26 per unit.
