The latest payment data for the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) is now available on the 8171 portal. There is no need for separate lists, as eligible individuals can check their status by entering their CNIC number on the portal. The portal provides four main types of information:

  1. Sponsorship Program Eligibility: Determines whether the applicant qualifies for the program.
  2. Payment Status: Information on payments related to the sponsorship program and education scholarships.
  3. Dynamic Registry Status: Shows whether the applicant has been registered in the dynamic registry.
  4. Utility Store Subsidy: Indicates eligibility for utility store subsidies.

Eligibility Update for Benazir Kafalat Program


Beneficiaries with a PMT (Poverty Means Testing) score below 32 qualify for the sponsorship program on the 8171 portal. However, individuals with a PMT score above 32 qualify only for the utility store subsidy and are not eligible for the sponsorship program. For those in the dynamic registry but ineligible for the program, there is no need to worry; the portal is currently updating. Two payments are expected this month, covering July-September and October-December in different phases.

Phase One Payment Districts
The payment rollout is being done in stages, starting with 19 districts:

Punjab Province

  1. Dera Ghazi Khan
  2. Chiniot
  3. Taunsa
  4. Rahim Yar Khan

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province

  1. Malakand
  2. Mardan

Sindh Province

  1. Tando Allahyar
  2. Tando Muhammad Khan
  3. Hyderabad
  4. Jacobabad
  5. Kamber Shahdadkot

Balochistan Province

  1. Chagai
  2. Mastung
  3. Jhal Magsi
  4. Nasirabad
  5. Sibi
  6. Jafarabad

Beneficiaries in these districts will receive the July-September and October-December payments.

Children’s stipends have started being credited. Those who recently received the July-September payment will receive only the October-December payment next. If the July-September installment was missed, it should be checked on the 8171 portal. A token will be issued at payment sites to help track and verify payments.

Benazir Kafalat Payment Increase


Starting January 2025, installments of PKR 13,500 will be released. These will be distributed via Easypaisa, Jazz Cash, or ATMs, as the franchise system will be phased out. BISP representatives will facilitate payments through Union Councils or direct bank channels.
