Good News: CM Punjab Launches Wheat Cultivation Program| Benazir Kafalat Program Pyment Update

Benazir Kafalat Program

In the Benazir Kafalat Program, previously ineligible individuals are now being given another chance to participate. Additionally, the new installment phase of the Kafalat Program, covering the October-December cycle, has already begun. This first phase has been rolled out in 19 districts, and many beneficiaries have already received their payments. Those who haven’t collected their installments yet are requested to do so as soon as possible.

Second Phase of Installments Starting November 12

The second phase of this current installment of PKR 10,500 will officially begin on Tuesday, November 12, at 9 a.m. In this phase, several new districts from all provinces will be included. We will promptly confirm which districts will begin receiving payments from this date.

Dynamic Survey for Ineligible and Regular Beneficiaries

For those previously ineligible for the program, the government has introduced the option of a dynamic survey. Regular beneficiaries are also encouraged to complete their dynamic survey by December 31. If you’ve already completed it, that’s great; if not, make sure to get it done by December. Individuals who were previously deemed ineligible for any reason can now qualify by completing the dynamic survey at their nearest Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) office. Those who wish to be eligible for the new PKR 13,500 installment coming in January 2025 should ensure their survey is completed before then.

CM Punjab Launches Wheat Cultivation Program:

The Green Tractor Scheme has reopened for registration with significant changes. You can consider this as a new program or the second phase of the Green Tractor Scheme. In this phase, 10,500 tractors are being provided under the “Chief Minister Wheat Cultivation Program,” which has been officially launched. This program includes several rewards for wheat farmers, where tractors and laser levelers worth billions are being distributed for free.

Previously, the Green Tractor Scheme provided a subsidy of PKR 1 million. For instance, if a tractor cost PKR 3 million, farmers had to pay PKR 2 million. In this new phase, however, 1,000 tractors will be given away free through a draw to farmers cultivating more than 25 acres of wheat, with no payment required. For farmers cultivating 12.5 to 25 acres, 1,000 laser levelers will be distributed, also free of cost through a draw.

Registration Process:

Wheat farmers wishing to participate should stay in touch with their local Department of Agriculture Extension office to register their cultivated land for the program. For more information, you can also call the helpline at 0800-17000.

Allotment Letters and Payment Process:

For those who qualified in the previous phase of the Green Tractor Scheme, allotment letters are now being issued and can be collected from the Department of Agriculture Extension office before November 15. Once you receive the allotment letter, arrange for the remaining payment and deposit it at a nearby Bank of Punjab branch. The tractor will then be delivered to you through a designated dealer. Detailed guidelines will be provided at the Department of Agriculture Extension office.
