Kisan Cards:
The Punjab government has increased the number of Kisan Cards from 500,000 to 750,000. Additionally, approval has been granted for 30% cash withdrawal through the Kisan Card. Starting November 20, farmers can withdraw cash from ATMs.
Previously, farmers had to visit agricultural centers or dealers, hand over their cards, and payments were deducted directly when purchasing seeds or fertilizers. Now, farmers can withdraw cash themselves.
