Benazir Income Support Program to Issue ATM:

In 2025, the Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) will issue ATM cards to all eligible women and open regular bank accounts for beneficiaries. This process has already started in many regions, with ATM cards being prepared and accounts opened in various banks. In this study, we will explain:

Partner Banks for BISP Accounts:

Accounts will be opened in collaboration with the following six banks:

  • HBL (Habib Bank Limited)
  • JazzCash
  • Easypaisa
  • Bank Alfalah
  • Bank of Punjab
  • HBL Microfinance Bank

These banks will issue ATM cards and checkbooks, enabling beneficiaries to withdraw money conveniently without standing in long queues.

Regions and Bank Details for Account Opening:

HBL Accounts
HBL will open accounts in the following 13 districts:

Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Mandi Bahauddin, Narowal, Sialkot, Gujrat, Sargodha, Bhakkar, Khushab, Pakpattan, Faisalabad, Okara, Sheikhupura, Gujranwala, and Layyah.

Bank Alfalah Accounts

Sahiwal, Lahore, Hafizabad, Toba Tek Singh, Kasur, and Bahawalnagar.

Bank of Punjab Accounts

Toba Tek Singh, Mianwali, Multan, Lodhran, Jhang, D.G. Khan, and Chiniot.

JazzCash Accounts

Only in Rahim Yar Khan.

HBL Microfinance Bank Accounts

Rahim Yar Khan, Rajanpur, Nankana Sahib, and Vehari.

Easypaisa Accounts

Only in Muzaffargarh.

Required Documents for Account Opening:

To open a BISP account, the following documents and conditions are mandatory:

  • Original CNIC (Computerized National Identity Card)
  • A registered SIM card in the applicant’s name
  • CNIC must not be expired
  • The applicant must be a regular BISP beneficiary
  • Fingerprint biometrics must match

Account Opening Process:

Visit Your Nearest Payment Collection Point:
Go to the center where you currently collect payments. Bank representatives will be present to assist you.

Verification of Documents:
The bank staff will verify your CNIC and confirm if you are a regular BISP beneficiary.

Biometric Verification:
Your fingerprints will be matched, and you will be asked to fill out a form.

ATM Card or Checkbook Request:

If you prefer an ATM card over a checkbook, inform the staff while filling out the form. This option is available to both literate and illiterate women who can operate an ATM card.

Confirmation and Processing Time:
Once your form is submitted, you will receive a confirmation SMS indicating that your account opening request has been processed. The account will be opened within 10 days to a month.

Delivery of Card/Checkbook:
After the account is opened, your ATM card or checkbook will be sent to your address via TCS.

Current Updates:

Currently, the account opening process has started in Liaquatpur, where staff are actively registering beneficiaries. The program will gradually expand to other regions.

This initiative aims to simplify payment access for BISP beneficiaries, reducing queues and ensuring convenience.
