Register Your Mobile Number for OTP:
It is mandatory for all regular beneficiaries to register their mobile numbers with BISP. Without this, beneficiaries will face issues in receiving OTP (One-Time Password) messages from 8171, which are essential for accessing payments. Failure to register may result in payment delays or even suspension.
Key Steps to Register Your Mobile Number:
- Visit your nearest BISP office and update your mobile number.
- Use only Ufone, Jazz, or Zong numbers as they receive SMS reliably. Avoid using Telenor numbers as SMS delivery is often problematic.
- Ensure your mobile number matches the one linked to your bank account for smooth transactions.
Payment Methods and New System for 2025:
From 2025, payments through device-based systems will end. Beneficiaries will receive their payments through the following methods:
Tehsil Offices
Benazir Card
Bank Accounts (National Bank, HBL, MCB, etc.)
To access payments via bank accounts, beneficiaries must have their mobile numbers registered. A code (OTP) will be sent to the registered mobile number during transactions, which must be provided to the bank for payment disbursement.
Bank Account Opening Campaign:
Bank accounts are being opened for regular beneficiaries, starting from Rahim Yar Khan.
Teams will visit local areas, including mosques, to assist beneficiaries in opening bank accounts.
Ensure your mobile number is registered to avoid difficulties during this process.

Payment Status for Reverification Cases:
Beneficiaries Under Reverification:
If no issues are flagged, this will be their last payment for 2024.
Payments in 2025 will only continue for those with a PMT score below 32.
Beneficiaries with Filters Applied by NADRA:
Payments will be withheld for those flagged with urgent ID cards, PTCL bills, or other filters.
If a beneficiary’s ID card has expired and their updated data shows as “Customer Not Found,” payments will also be stopped.
New Surveys:
Beneficiaries from new surveys are being reviewed, with around 20% of new applicants added to the program.
Upcoming Initiatives for 2025:
The government plans to launch new programs for BISP beneficiaries, including:
Ration Card: Allows beneficiaries to receive free groceries worth PKR 12,000 from designated stores.
Ramadan Card: Similar benefits for the holy month of Ramadan.
Increased financial support with an additional PKR 3,000 in payments.
Beneficiaries must ensure they are part of ongoing Maryam Nawaz surveys and register online to qualify for these programs.
